Baby beds

Tailor-made comfort for your little one! People sleeping in our Superior, Club, Triple or Quadruple Collection rooms can ask for a baby bed for free. This is possible up to the age of two.

Luggage

No-one wants to brave the Bruges cobblestones with heavy suitcases. Therefor, you can leave your luggage safely at the reception.

Fire safety

You probably won’t need them, but please read the emergency instructions in your room. We would also like to point out our no-smoking policy. Hotel Portinari is completely smoke-free. Thanks for keeping it that way!

Gift vouchers

Give someone a relaxing stay with our gift voucher (for sale at the reception). Success guaranteed!

Check-in

Checking in is possible from 3 P.M. Are you arriving earlier? Feel safe to leave your luggage at the reception. Early check-in is possible, but do make this request in advance. We can charge additional costs for this.

Check-out

Saying goodbye is always difficult, so you can postpone your check-out until 11 A.M. On Sundays and during holidays you can sleep in longer, then we won’t wave goodbye until noon.

Not ready to leave yet? Please inquire at the reception if checking out later (at an additional cost) is possible.

Electricity

Welcome, traveller from afar! Here in Belgium electricity is always 220 V (and 50 Hz). The sockets are European (types C, E or F). You can buy a universal plug at the reception or use the USB charging points in your room.

Bikes / E-bike

Want to come by bike? Then you can use the bicycle parking 't Zand just in front of the door.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow storage of bicycles/mountain bikes/E-bikes or scooters in the rooms.

An exception can be made for medically necessary vehicles, but only in the rooms provided.

Would you like more information? Feel free to contact us.

We’re sorry to inform you that your furry friends are not welcome in our hotel.

Every room has a small fridge. If you’d like something more, such as soft drinks or alcoholic drinks, we can provide you with that at a low price. Please contact us for more information.

Breakfast

Start your day extremely well with our breakfast buffet. You will find our Breakfast Lounge on the ground floor (or just follow the smell of freshly roasted coffee). Extensive allergen information is available at the reception.

  • Mondays to Saturdays: between 7 and 10:30 A.M.
  • Sundays and holidays: between 8 and 11 A.M.

Are you leaving very early in the morning? Our night receptionist can have a wonderful breakfast package ready for you upon request.

Prefer breakfast in bed? Quite right! Inform the reception and enjoy a relaxing morning in your room the next day.

Parking

Hotel Portinari does not have its own parking. You can park safely (and nearby) in Parking Centrum ‘t Zand. A parking space costs € 15,80 per 24 hours (to be paid in the carpark). If you park on the odd levels (-1, -3, -5), you can use the elevator. From there, it is only a 10-metre walk to your hotel.

No spaces left in Parking ’t Zand? Parking Zilverpand is also at walking distance from the hotel.

Reception

During your stay you can contact the reception through telephone number 100. The reception is open daily from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. During the evening and night our night concierge will help you.

Smoking

Hotel Portinari is 100% smoke-free, but you have the entire ’t Zand at your disposal!

Cleaning services

You need not make your bed yourself. Leave that to our cleaning team, who will do this for you with pleasure. They come daily between 9 A.M. and 4 P.M. If you are sleeping in or need privacy, you can hang the ‘do not disturb’ sign on your door and enjoy your morning undisturbed.

We also have a laundry and ironing service. Bring us your clothes before 8:30 A.M. and you will receive them back the same day.

A rainy day or nothing planned? At the reception you can borrow Gameboys and games, ideal for our young guests (or their nostalgic parents)!

But don’t let the rain stop you. Ask for an umbrella at the reception and head out! The shining cobblestones and grey clouds reveal a completely different side of Bruges that is certainly worthwhile.
