The Tour of Flanders is Belgium's premier one-day cycling race, held annually in early April. In 2025, the 109th edition of the Tour of Flanders will take place on Sunday, April 6. The Tour of Flanders 2025 (Elite Men) starts on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 10 a.m. on the Market Square in Bruges. The riders will cover over 250 kilometers, passing over cobbled lanes and hills in the Flemish Ardennes along the way. The finish of the Flemish spring classic is in Oudenaarde.

The Procession of the Holy Blood has passed through the historic centre of Bruges every year on Our Lady's Assumption since the late 13th century. Over 1,800 participants sing, make music, dance and act, bringing Biblical stories to life. The style of the procession recalls the Burgundian era when guilds, crafts, brotherhoods and chambers of rhetoric were responsible for the interpretation of the scenes.
