Bruges is on the map as an international cycling and cycling city. For another start on the Bruges market of the iconic Tour of Flanders, it is admittedly still a year away. But the spring classic Classic Brugge-De Panne will be run by the men on 20 March and by the women on 21 March.

(As part of Triennale Brugge 2024) With Rebel Garden, Musea Brugge commits to a rebellious, urgent art exhibition that examines the relationship between man and nature. The central theme is The Garden but issues such as the consequences of global warming, the sixth mass extinction, climate activism, the relationship between the artist and the garden, ... are addressed. For five months, and this both in the Groeninge Museum, the Gruuthuse Museum and the attic of the renovated St John's Hospital Museum, visitors are invited to reflect on the future of our planet.

The historic city centre's recognition as a World Heritage Site is largely due to its rich architectural heritage that has been well preserved, managed and restored for decades. On the cultural heritage holiday, get to know what makes a house a (real) home. On Sunday 21 April, you can discover what makes the ordinary, past and present, so special.

On May 25 & 26, the Astrid Park will once again be filled with sustainable goodies for the cozy family festival (H)eerlijk Brugge. During this edition, discover how to give food scraps a second life. Many kitchen leftovers unjustly end up in the trash, but once you know their hidden assets, you can easily transform them into the star of your next meal!

Peeking inside some monuments that usually keep their doors closed is a unique opportunity during Open Monuments Weekend on 7 and 8 September. This year, the theme "En route!" puts the focus on (cultural) routes, networking and connections. Visiting most monuments is free. Some monuments/activities require a reservation!

On Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8, various locations in Bruges will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation during World War II.

During the darkest period of the year, Winter Glow traditionally brings atmosphere to Bruges' city centre, each time in a 'slightly' different format. Fixed ingredients are the abundance of twinkling lights, the Christmas markets, the ice skating rink in artificial ice and the cosy winter bar as well as a real light trail. It promises to be another heart-warming winter festival.

Twelfth Bruges Unicars Christmas Run to be held on Friday 08 December 2023 in the centre of the city of Bruges with start and finish on 't zand of Bruges. fantastic run right through a festively lit centre with atmospheric music on the entire run.

'Bruges sings from old to new'. At midnight, we usher in the new year with a laser show. Drink and food stands.
